Teaching Philosophy, Resources & Student Success
My name is Dr. Charlotte Singletary PT, DPT and I have spent my career helping people learn, grow, and reach their goals. I earned my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree and spent over twenty years working as a physical therapist, where I developed a deep appreciation for teaching, encouraging, and helping others understand complex topics. Along the way, I also began homeschooling my own children, which gave me a new perspective on education and the incredible partnership between parents, students, and tutors.
Teaching has become one of my greatest passions. Whether we’re exploring the laws of physics, the intricacies of anatomy, the beauty of our planet, or the discipline of logical reasoning, my goal is to help students move beyond simply memorizing facts. I want them to ask thoughtful questions, recognize patterns, think critically, and develop confidence in their ability to learn independently.
As an instructor with Providence Extension Program (PEP), I hope to create a classroom environment that is engaging, organized, and encouraging. I believe students learn best when expectations are clear, curiosity is welcomed, and mistakes are viewed as opportunities to grow. Every student learns differently, and I strive to provide resources and guidance that help each one succeed while supporting the unique role parents play in their child’s education.
This blog serves as an extension of our classroom. Here you’ll find announcements, course resources, guided reading notes, lab and activity information, study tips, helpful links, review materials, and additional content for students who want to explore topics more deeply. My hope is that everything is organized in one convenient place so families can quickly access the information they need throughout the school year.
More importantly, I want this website to support parents as they provide structure and accountability at home. Homeschooling is a team effort, and my desire is to come alongside your family with practical tools that make learning more manageable, meaningful, and enjoyable.
Thank you for allowing me to be part of your educational journey. I look forward to exploring, learning, and growing together as we pursue academic excellence, cultivate curiosity, and help every student reach the goals they have set for a successful year.
